Make a donation

We are always in need of more food and litter for our animals. If you would like to donate pet food, litter, leashes, toys, dog or people snacks, drinks, and water to our adoption volunteers, please let us know. Please make a cash or check donation at the adoption or contact us for details.

Help with adoptions

We always need people to volunteer their time to help us with the adoptions. We need assistance transporting and setting up the cages tables and chairs, showing off the dogs and cats, taking them out of the cages and for walks, assisting the families with choosing the right pet, answering questions, and filling out the forms. We also need volunteers to transport the animals from the Adoption Center to the adoption and back. If you would like to help with adoptions please contact us.

Foster an animal

Our foster parents hold a special place in our hearts. They foster dogs and cats that otherwise would have been put to sleep, because the shelter was over-crowded. The pets instead get a second chance at life. The duties include transporting the animals to the adoptions and vet visits, feeding, watering, walking, and anything else that normal dogs and cats need. Food and leashes are provide. Transportation to and from adoptions can be arranged for you, if you would just like to foster the animals. If you would like to foster an animal or for more information, please contact us.

Play with the Adoption Center animals

Our animals in the shelter need to get attention just as much as any other animal. They are in their cages all of the time and need to be socialized in order to find good homes. Volunteers are encouraged to take the dogs out for a walk in the grass and play with them in the main area. They are also encouraged to play with the cats and kittens to get them use to people as much as possible. If you would like to play with the Adoption Center animals, please contact us.

Get the word out

We need people to help us get the word out for our four-legged friends. If you would like to keep up with how the animals are doing in Farmers Branch, please contact us to be put on the email list. If our animals need your help, you will be the first to know.
